Role Overview
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain secure information systems for federal clients. You will ensure compliance with rigorous security standards while driving technical innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement complex federal information systems with a focus on security and scalability.
- Ensure full compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and technical specifications.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for mission-critical infrastructure and resolve complex technical issues.
- Conduct system integration testing and perform quality assurance on software releases.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices for federal environments.
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings to stakeholders and government customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical audiences.
