Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based transportation policies addressing congestion, sustainability, and equity in King County
- Analyze legislative impacts and recommend regulatory adjustments for multimodal transit systems
- Lead stakeholder engagement with local governments, community organizations, and industry partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and fiscal impact statements for legislative committees
- Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives on climate resilience and smart infrastructure projects
- Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations and grant requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in transportation finance and grant management (FTA/FHWA programs)
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in GIS, R, or Python
- Proven track record of developing equitable policy frameworks
- Strong stakeholder facilitation and public presentation abilities
