Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in planning and implementing large-scale urban development projects
- Oversee compliance with federal/state grant requirements for Baltimore infrastructure initiatives
- Conduct community outreach and stakeholder engagement across Baltimore's diverse neighborhoods
- Analyze zoning regulations and policy impacts on development feasibility
- Manage project budgets exceeding $5M with rigorous fiscal accountability
- Develop data-driven recommendations for sustainable urban growth strategies
- Coordinate with Maryland state agencies on regional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in municipal government or urban development
- Proven expertise in federal grant management (HUD, DOT, EPA preferred)
- Deep knowledge of Baltimore's zoning laws and permitting processes
- Strong GIS mapping and spatial analysis capabilities
- Exceptional crisis management skills for urgent infrastructure projects
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean record
