Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive neighborhood planning initiatives and zoning code amendments
- Analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate with community stakeholders, elected officials, and inter-agency partners
- Prepare technical reports, environmental reviews, and public presentation materials
- Oversee capital project planning and implementation for public infrastructure
- Monitor emerging urban trends and best practices nationwide
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of urban planning experience in municipal government
- Expertise in NYC zoning regulations and land use law
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software and spatial analysis tools
- Proven track record of community engagement and public speaking
- Valid New York State driver's license
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
