Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive land use plans and zoning regulations for revitalization districts
- Analyze demographic data and economic trends to inform strategic planning initiatives
- Lead community engagement sessions and public hearings for major infrastructure projects
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with state agencies and federal partners on grant-funded urban renewal programs
- Manage capital improvement budgets exceeding $10M annually
- Mentor junior planning staff and supervise technical consultants
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal planning experience with zoning board familiarity
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and urban modeling tools
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Strong understanding of NEPA and local charter requirements
- Demonstrated success in affordable housing initiatives
- Experience with public procurement processes and grant writing
- PHR or AICP certification preferred
