Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive urban planning policies for mixed-use developments
- Analyze zoning regulations and environmental impact reports
- Lead public engagement sessions and community outreach initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Prepare detailed land use recommendations for City Planning Commission
- Monitor compliance with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
- Manage complex planning budgets and project timelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal or regional planning
- Expert knowledge of San Francisco's General Plan and zoning codes
- Proficiency in GIS software and urban planning databases
- Strong analytical skills with policy development experience
- California AICP certification preferred
- Experience leading public hearings and stakeholder negotiations
