Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-availability web applications using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js and the .NET ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts and state agency stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure all web applications adhere to strict security standards, accessibility guidelines (WCAG), and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA).
- Optimize existing legacy systems and modernize codebases to improve performance, security, and user experience.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers within the IT team.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Document technical architecture and maintain detailed technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on web technologies.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, JavaScript, and SQL Server.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and front-end frameworks.
- Experience working within a government or large enterprise environment is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
