As a DMV Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in customers and callers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process DMV transactions including license renewals, vehicle registrations, and title transfers.
- Operate office equipment such as scanners, printers, and computer terminals.
- Maintain accurate records and data entry using DMV software systems.
- Handle cash, checks, and credit card payments while balancing daily registers.
- Resolve customer complaints and escalate complex issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Adhere to all state regulations and agency policies regarding confidentiality and security.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, call centers, or government services is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus for the Buffalo location.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
