Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmate activities to maintain facility security
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts in correctional units
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Enforce facility rules and document violations accurately
- Operate security systems including gates, cameras, and alarms
- Screen visitors and incoming mail/packages for contraband
- Participate in emergency response drills and training exercises
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Physical ability to restrain inmates and perform patrol duties
