Responsibilities
- Patrol state buildings and grounds during overnight hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security alerts
- Control access points and verify credentials of visitors/employees
- Conduct regular security checks and document incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports
- Enforce state security regulations and policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
- Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) certification preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
