Responsibilities
- Manage and process incoming public inquiries and applications for state government services in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain and organize complex records, ensuring compliance with California state retention laws and city protocols.
- Prepare and distribute weekly reports regarding departmental metrics and public service statistics.
- Assist in the interpretation of state regulations and provide clear guidance to the public and staff.
- Coordinate scheduling for department meetings and official state government events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve government service delivery and efficiency.
- Handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or government operations.
- Strong knowledge of California state government procedures and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government-specific databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies to diverse audiences.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
