What You Will Do:

Responsibilities
- Network Management: Design, implement, and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) to ensure optimal data transmission.
- System Administration: Perform routine server maintenance, patch management, and troubleshooting for Windows and Linux environments.
- Cybersecurity Support: Monitor network traffic for anomalies and assist in the implementation of security protocols to protect sensitive state data.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to state employees, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Project Implementation: Assist in the deployment of new hardware, software, and IT infrastructure projects on schedule and within budget.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; Associate’s degree with significant experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support or system administration.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
