Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors to the agency, answering general inquiries and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Process incoming applications, forms, and documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Answer a high volume of phone calls from the public, providing accurate information regarding agency programs and procedures.
- Update and maintain electronic and physical filing systems and departmental databases.
- Assist in the preparation of routine correspondence, reports, and memos.
- Collaborate with office staff to ensure smooth daily operations and a welcoming environment.
- Perform data entry tasks and assist in the reconciliation of daily logs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (required for state employment).
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends if necessary.
