Position Overview
As a Pension Analyst, you will serve as the primary point of contact for complex pension inquiries and will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of retirement benefits.
Responsibilities
- Process and review pension benefit applications and retirement packages with high accuracy.
- Conduct thorough audits of pension records to ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Analyze complex financial data to resolve discrepancies in benefit calculations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Maintain and update pension databases to reflect accurate employee contribution history.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources and Finance departments to streamline retirement workflows.
- Stay current on changes in retirement laws and pension legislation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, government finance, or actuarial services.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively during the night shift (typically 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM).
- Deep understanding of retirement plans, 401(k)s, and state benefit structures.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee data.
