Responsibilities
- Execute routine server maintenance, patch management, and system updates during designated weekend shifts.
- Monitor network performance metrics and troubleshoot hardware or software incidents in real-time.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity standards, including data protection regulations.
- Perform scheduled data backups and conduct disaster recovery testing to guarantee business continuity.
- Collaborate with the central IT support team to document technical processes and resolve escalated tickets.
- Configure and manage virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V) to optimize resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in System Administration or Network Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments and Linux operating systems.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Security+, or MCSE are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, cloud infrastructure, and network protocols.
- Ability to work independently and responsively during weekend shifts for critical alerts.
