Responsibilities
- Process incoming mail, emails, and faxes with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage and maintain office filing systems, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Assist the public and staff by answering phones and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute memos, reports, and correspondence.
- Perform data entry tasks using state-of-the-art government software systems.
- Support team members with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with agency safety standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a government or public sector environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict adherence to privacy laws and regulations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
