Responsibilities
- Conduct weekend inspections of highway infrastructure, bridges, and traffic systems
- Manage emergency response protocols for weekend incidents and weather events
- Coordinate weekend construction zone traffic control and safety measures
- Prepare detailed engineering reports for weekend maintenance activities
- Collaborate with weekend field crews to resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with Caltrans safety standards and environmental regulations
- Support weekend public transit infrastructure monitoring and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Valid California Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Weekend shift availability (Saturday/Sunday 6AM-2PM)
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD and Caltrans standards
- Experience with CAD/GIS software
- Emergency management certification preferred
- Clean driving record with valid Class C license
