Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive transportation planning studies and corridor analyses for major infrastructure projects
- Develop and implement long-range transportation plans aligned with Vision Zero safety initiatives
- Conduct traffic impact studies, travel demand modeling, and alternative analysis for development proposals
- Coordinate with local governments, MPOs, and federal agencies to ensure project alignment with regional goals
- Prepare environmental documents (NEPA) and support permitting processes
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources for multimodal transportation initiatives
- Mentor junior planners and supervise technical staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive transportation planning experience with government or consulting firms
- Professional certification (AICP, PTOE, or PE) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in transportation modeling software (TransCAD, Cube, or VISSIM)
- Expertise in federal/state regulations (NEPA, FHWA, TxDOT design standards)
- Proven experience managing multimodal projects (transit, active transportation, freight)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and present findings to stakeholders
- Valid Texas driver's license
