Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic impact analyses and transportation modeling for urban development projects
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans aligned with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on highway/transit infrastructure design and feasibility studies
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for public hearings and stakeholder meetings
- Manage GIS data collection and mapping for transportation corridor assessments
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience with government or public sector
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (TransCAD, Vistro, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex traffic data
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License
- Experience with NEPA/MEPA documentation processes
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced temporary assignment
