Responsibilities
- Analyze traffic patterns and transportation data to inform infrastructure planning decisions
- Develop comprehensive transportation corridor studies for major San Antonio roadways
- Coordinate with local agencies on transit-oriented development initiatives
- Create public engagement strategies to gather community input on transportation projects
- Prepare grant applications and funding proposals for federal/state programs
- Review development plans for compliance with transportation impact requirements
- Generate technical reports and presentations for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience in public sector
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) or AICP certification preferred
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools
- Demonstrated experience with public transportation grant programs
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making approach
- Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder management abilities
