Responsibilities
- Analyze transportation data using GIS and statistical modeling tools to identify infrastructure needs and growth trends
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans aligned with state policies and federal regulations
- Coordinate with local governments, developers, and community stakeholders on project feasibility
- Prepare technical documentation including environmental impact assessments and funding applications
- Monitor project implementation and performance metrics for continuous improvement
- Present findings to public officials and community groups through clear visual reports
- Stay current with emerging transportation technologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in transportation planning or infrastructure development
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and transportation modeling platforms
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of federal/state transportation regulations (FHWA, NCDOT policies)
