Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for the Charlotte metropolitan area
- Analyze traffic data and infrastructure needs using GIS and statistical modeling tools
- Coordinate with local government agencies and community stakeholders
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and funding requirements
- Manage transportation databases and maintain accurate project documentation
- Support emergency response planning for critical infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of transportation planning experience
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and transportation modeling software
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Experience with NEPA documentation preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
