Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Screening: Operate advanced screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors.
- Passenger Interaction: Professionally screen passengers, utilizing advanced imaging technology and physical screening methods (pat-downs) as required by security protocols.
- Enforce Regulations: Adhere strictly to security regulations and policies to ensure the safety and security of the national transportation system.
- Customer Service: Maintain a high standard of customer service, assisting travelers efficiently and courteously during high-volume periods and in diverse environments.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to security breaches, emergencies, and unusual incidents in accordance with established emergency response plans.
- Documentation: Accurately document screening results, anomalies, and any incidents that occur during your shift.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a background investigation, including a fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Availability: Must be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass a medical exam and meet physical standards including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
