Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and imaging equipment to screen carry-on and checked baggage
- Conduct passenger screening using walk-through metal detectors and pat-down procedures
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger identities
- Respond to security incidents and suspicious items following protocol
- Maintain accurate screening logs and documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and respect
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- No felony convictions or certain misdemeanors
