Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate security equipment and maintain screening checkpoints in optimal condition
- Enforce TSA regulations while providing clear instructions to travelers
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies following established protocols
- Document security activities and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successfully complete TSA-mandated training program
