Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage to detect concealed weapons, explosives, and other prohibited items
- Operate X-ray machines and other screening equipment
- Conduct pat-down searches and other security procedures as required
- Monitor security checkpoints and ensure compliance with TSA regulations
- Respond to security incidents and alarms in a calm and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers
- Work collaboratively with other TSA officers and airport personnel
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
