Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for weapons, explosives, and prohibited items
- Operate advanced X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Conduct pat-down searches and body scanning as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and enforce TSA regulations with professionalism
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of security operations and passenger interactions
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining firm security standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Successfully complete TSA's mandatory training program
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
