Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray equipment and advanced imaging technology to inspect carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Passenger Screening: Conduct pat-downs and wanding procedures to ensure passenger safety and compliance with security regulations.
- Security Enforcement: Enforce security directives, identify potential threats, and intervene to prevent unauthorized access to secure areas.
- Customer Service: Assist passengers with inquiries, provide directions, and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor during high-volume periods.
- Incident Reporting: Document irregularities and report security breaches or suspicious activities to supervisors immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and report malfunctions of security screening equipment to maintain operational readiness.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Background Check: Must pass a federal background investigation, including a drug screen and medical evaluation.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to perform standing, walking, bending, and lifting tasks for extended periods without accommodation.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
