Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect threats to transportation security.
- Operate X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology to identify prohibited items and explosives.
- Perform physical pat-downs and bag searches in a professional, respectful manner.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness while monitoring security checkpoints.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with travelers to resolve security issues and provide assistance.
- Adhere to all TSA security protocols, regulations, and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Background: No felony convictions within the last 7 years.
- Medical: Pass a medical examination and drug screen.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags (up to 50lbs).
