Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray equipment and walk-through metal detectors.
- Perform physical searches and pat-downs in accordance with TSA security directives and privacy standards.
- Enforce security regulations and protocols to prevent prohibited items from entering the secure area.
- Assist passengers with questions regarding security procedures and provide courteous, professional customer service.
- Operate and monitor security screening equipment, identifying potential threats while minimizing wait times for travelers.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient checkpoint environment.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and pass a physical fitness assessment.
- Age: At least 18 years of age.
- License: Valid Driver’s License preferred.
