Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray machines and Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Physical Security: Perform physical screenings, including pat-downs and bag inspections, while strictly adhering to security protocols and procedures.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with passengers of all ages, de-escalating tense situations and providing clear instructions.
- Observation: Monitor screening equipment and observe passenger behavior to identify potential security threats or anomalies.
- Documentation: Complete all required paperwork accurately, including incident reports and screening logs.
- Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly follow all health, safety, and security regulations.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions; vision correctable to 20/20.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow complex instructions.
