Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors to detect prohibited items
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Monitor airport checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA security regulations
- Respond to security alerts and incidents following established procedures
- Complete accurate documentation of security screenings and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
- Maintain professional demeanor while interacting with diverse travelers
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs
- Must complete TSA Security Training Academy within 6 months
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
