Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and screening equipment to detect prohibited items
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage inspections as required
- Monitor passenger flow and maintain efficient security checkpoints
- Respond to security breaches and emergency situations per protocol
- Communicate clearly with travelers regarding security procedures
- Document screening activities and maintain security logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours)
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull heavy baggage
- Customer service experience preferred
