Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA regulations and SOPs
- Respond to security incidents and suspicious activities with appropriate protocols
- Provide clear communication to travelers regarding security procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and incidents
- Participate in continuous training on new security technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and technology aptitude
