Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and imaging equipment to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical searches of passengers and property
- Monitor security checkpoints and detect suspicious items
- Enforce TSA security protocols and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods in varied environments
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Effective communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and technical aptitude
