Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity or security breaches
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while maintaining professional demeanor
- Operate advanced screening technologies and follow TSA standard operating procedures
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records of checkpoint activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours continuously)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn screening technologies
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
