Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical searches of persons and property as authorized by TSA procedures
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger information
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential security threats
- Provide courteous and efficient assistance to travelers during screening processes
- Document security incidents and irregularities according to TSA protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and security clearance
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
