Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and manual detection techniques
- Conduct thorough security inspections of aircraft, cargo, and airport facilities
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Enforce TSA security protocols with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of security screenings and incident reports
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn specialized security equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if required for mobile screening duties)
