Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical screenings and pat-downs when necessary
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance
- Maintain security protocols in high-traffic airport environments
- Respond professionally to passenger inquiries and resolve conflicts
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff on security matters
- Document security incidents and complete daily reports
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Flexible availability to work various shifts including nights/weekends
