Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Identify and respond to potential security threats through heightened observation and vigilance
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections when required by protocols
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Maintain strict adherence to TSA security procedures and federal regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professional demeanor under pressure
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities through detailed reporting systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass rigorous background investigation and drug screening
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional observational skills
