Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo to detect concealed weapons, explosives, and other prohibited items
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections as necessary
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to security incidents
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers
- Follow all TSA policies and procedures
- Work in a fast-paced environment with strict adherence to security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
