Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening at security checkpoints
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Identify prohibited items and enforce TSA security protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel as needed
- Participate in continuous security training and drills
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including nights/weekends
