Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect potential threats and suspicious behavior
- Operate advanced screening equipment including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism and customer service focus
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Conduct random searches and pat-downs as required by security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
