As a Security Screener, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring that every traveler and their baggage pass through security safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and property using X-ray screening equipment and metal detectors.
- Perform security patrols and observe behavior to detect potential threats.
- Conduct thorough searches of carry-on and checked baggage to identify prohibited items.
- Assist travelers with disabilities and special needs to ensure dignified and efficient screening.
- Identify, intercept, and resolve security threats in a professional and calm manner.
- Adhere to all TSA regulations, security protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to the traveling public in a high-volume environment.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical examination.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Driver's License: A valid driverβs license is required.
