Responsibilities
- Perform thorough screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and checked baggage using advanced X-ray and imaging technology.
- Identify prohibited items and explosives detection materials to ensure aviation security.
- Interact professionally with travelers, explaining screening procedures and resolving security issues calmly and courteously.
- Enforce security regulations and directives as set forth by the TSA and federal law.
- Conduct random bag checks and pat-downs when necessary to maintain security standards.
- Report safety hazards, suspicious activities, or security breaches immediately to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized screening workspace, including equipment and checkpoint areas.
Qualifications
- Must be a United States Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be able to pass a TSA background investigation, including a criminal history check and fingerprinting.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including hearing and vision tests (with or without correction).
- Must be able to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods (up to 10 hours) in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move luggage weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- No prior security clearance is required; we provide all necessary paid training.
