Responsibilities
- Perform passenger, baggage, and cargo screening operations using X-ray machines and advanced screening technology.
- Enforce strict security regulations and protocols to identify potential threats to aviation security.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, explaining screening procedures clearly and professionally.
- Monitor security equipment and screen images to detect prohibited items, weapons, or other dangerous materials.
- Collaborate with fellow screeners to maintain an efficient flow of passengers and minimize wait times.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and procedures to ensure compliance with federal laws.
- Document security incidents and report anomalies to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and medical assessment.
- Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under stressful situations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the public courteously.
