Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and advanced imaging technology scans
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify prohibited items according to TSA regulations
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining strict security protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Participate in continuous security training and procedural updates
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successfully complete TSA security screening certification
