Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate radio communication systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical responses
- Maintain detailed digital records of incidents and dispatch activities
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time tracking of units and resources
- Provide critical information to field personnel during high-stress situations
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners during emergency incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and procedural standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California driver's license
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Ability to pass background investigation and psychological evaluation
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer literacy and data entry proficiency
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
