Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Monitor security checkpoints and alert authorities of suspicious activities
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening procedures and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if required for position)
