Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray machines and metal detectors.
- Operate advanced imaging technology and physical search equipment to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor during high-pressure situations.
- Enforce security regulations, laws, and directives effectively and courteously.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient checkpoint operations and passenger flow.
- Complete all required training modules and maintain current certifications.
- Document any suspicious activities or anomalies according to standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check, fingerprinting, and credit check.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, drug screening, and a fitness-for-duty assessment.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
